Alongside directing, Alex is a freelance Development Executive, working for many of the UK’s most successful production companies. With 13 years experience developing across premium factual, specialist factual, factual-entertainment, natural history, science, adventure, observational and character-led ideas.

Alex has run development teams of all sizes, and has had formats, single films, and series commissioned by all the major channels and streamers, including the BBC2, BBC3, Sky, C4, C5, Nat Geo, Discovery, and the SVODs.

A strong writer, skilled at putting together impactful visual treatments, shooting and editing tasters, Alex has a long track record of building access with individuals and institutions.
